Permanent Residence

Canadian Express Class Program

This program was introduced in 2008 by IRCC to provide an opportunity for skilled workers, international graduates and temporary foreign workers to obtain permanent residence status in Canada. Ever since it started, the program has grown into one of Canada’s largest immigration pathways. It is regarded as one of the most successful immigration programs in Canada. CEC helps foreign workers build their future in Canada.

Benefits of CEC

Candidates with work experience and high levels of education in Canada have significant advantage. Age, work experience, professional and social networks in Canada help young and middle-age persons to become very successful in the labour market. Those who have previously lived in Canada as skilled workers have advantage over others. Furthermore, candidates with Canadian work experience can obtain more CRS points as well. Candidates who are successful under Express Entry can get their permanent residence within six months. Under the CEC program, candidates don’t have to prove that they have sufficient funding to support themselves financially.

For International students, immigration to Canada through CEC involves the following steps:

  • Complete your graduation program at a Canadian designated institution.
